Position Description
Building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces, also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance throughout the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To support the project leader in the implementation of the project
- Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.
- Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
- Directing system testing and validation procedures.
- Directing software programming and documentation development.
- Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
- Working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
- Analysing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
- Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
- Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.
- Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
Qualification and Experience
Extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life-cycle. A Bachelor’s degree in /BEng in IT/IS/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized institution. 2-3 years working in complex system development.

- Knowledge of the software development life-cycle. The desire to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
- Creativity is always a plus.
- Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering.
- Experience working on a variety of software development projects.
- Deep programming language knowledge

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Technical knowledge in determining end-to-end software requirements specification and design.
- Working knowledge of various software languages, [Laravel/PHP (mandatory), C/C++, .NET, will be added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge in DHTML, HTML5, CSS & CSS3, Vue Js, Java Script, Photoshop, and Responsive Web Design will be added advantage.
- Practical skills on Object Oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
- Experience in SOAP/REST/Web Services, Application Servers (Apache, Nginx, Apache Tomcat, Web Logic etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Junit, etc.
- Experience/knowledge on JSON, XML, and other similar data exchange protocols.
- Working knowledge of various software languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, CSS3).
- Experience/knowledge on Vue JS and other front-end development languages and tools.
- Strong knowledge on MySQL Database Management Systems. Knowledge on MS SQL Server, Oracle and other DBMS will be added advantage.
- Possession of a relevant recognized ICT professional certification will be an added advantage.
