The dLab training team is capacity building pillar. The pillar focuses on organizing the Open Data community across several activities including training sessions face to face – on site as well as online.
To support local capacity building, the online learning modules will be made available in English and Kiswahili. Content is accessible through an online learning portal and will be made available through native IOS and Android apps.

Women in Data Workshop on 6th - 8th March, 2017
dLab is excited to celebrate with you Women’s day through “Women in Data Workshop” from 6th to 8th March, 2017 that will bring together women from the media, ICT, M&E and data related fields. The goal of the workshop is to explore data needs to influence better decision making for promoting equal gender participation. The specific focus will be to explore the existing health datasets to gain insights on the health issues affecting women, potentially attributing to making the theme of 50/50 participation by 2030 not become a reality.

dLab is launching its first open data publishing training course on Monday 16th - 20th January, 2017 at the dLab space in Dar es Salaam. This course will enable participants in preparing their data or data set(s) for public use and make them available for everyone to use.
Who is this course for? This course is for anyone working under the health sector in NGOs, CSOs, government and individuals who want to learn how to use, publish and benefit from open data.
